Paw Captain began in Charleston, where Michael and Talita met, built a life together, and found inspiration in the kind of love only dogs can bring into a home.

Talita is from Brazil, and when she came into Michael's life, she brought warmth, creativity, and a way of seeing the world that made everything feel brighter. Then Michael introduced three Australian Shepherds into her world, and those three pups quickly became the heart of something much bigger.

First came Dax, our loyal 3.5-year-old Aussie. Then Koa, our adventurous 3-year-old. And then Mia, our sweet and spirited 2.5-year-old girl.

What started as Michael's love for his dogs soon became a shared purpose. Talita fell in love with Dax, Koa, and Mia completely. She noticed the little things: how much joy a better routine could bring, how comfort mattered, how good design could make life with pets cleaner, easier, and more beautiful. She wanted to enrich their lives, not just with products, but with thoughtfulness.

That inspired Michael. And together, that inspiration became Paw Captain.
